GIRLS LACROSSE

ERA GIRLS LACROSSE:

ERA Girls Lacrosse is a sport that is available for grades K through 8.  It runs from the end of March through May. Practices are generally one or two nights per week and on Saturdays.  Once games start, they will usually be played on Saturdays, however, if the team is in the county league they may play on Sundays and on occasion during the week. Each player is required to have a girls lacrosse stick, goggles, and a mouth guard at practices and during games.

DIVISIONS: (divisions are by grade level)

Upon being placed in a group all teams must delegate a group of parent volunteers who will run the team. Once those volunteers have been selected they will work with the master scheduler to create a schedule that works for the team.

Recreational Scoopers (Pre-K, K, 1, 2):  This is a parent run lacrosse clinic where all registered participants practice together. Each practice will last approximately 40 minutes and will be followed by a 20 minutes scrimmage. All practices will be at Elvaton Park.

County Sticklettes (K, 1, 2):  If a team chooses, they may play in the county Sticklette league against other Kindergarten, 1st grade,

or 2nd grade teams or may be a clinic team where all events are at Elvaton Park. Decisions on league, schedule and how practices will be set up are decided by the team delegated volunteer staff.

County Pee Wee (3, 4):  3rd and 4th grade, either mixed or grade level teams.  These games will be played throughout the county, usually on Saturday or Sunday with an occasional weeknight game.

County Middies (5, 6):  5th and 6th grade, mixed or grade level.  These games will be played throughout the county, usually on Saturday or Sunday with an occasional weeknight game.

County Juniors (7, 8):  7th and 8th grade.  These games will be played throughout the county, usually on Saturday or Sunday

with an occasional weeknight game.

ASSIGNMENTS:

ERA tries to create teams with the best interest of each child in mind.  We place kids in groups by age, school, location and finally to whenever possible using special requests.  We cannot guarantee a special request however we make every effort to make everyone happy. The earlier you register the greater the chance of a special request being granted. Upon being placed in a group all teams must delegate a group of parent volunteers who will run the team.
